Evidence-based presentations, case study led workshops and invaluable lived experience
This important, educational two-day conference provided all attendees with current, evidence-based knowledge on managing Type 1 diabetes for exercise. With an absolutely packed programme, this unique forum maximised each delegates learning experience. There were presentations from experts in the field, interactive discussions, sessions led by people with T1D, all offering practical advice and clear strategies to use with patients with T1D in a clinical setting.

In this session, delegates will be introduced to the exercise-specific features of commonly used insulin pump and closed-loop systems. This talk will explore findings from the EXTOD-Immune trial, which looked at how a 12-week exercise programme affects immune cells linked to Type 1 Diabetes in adults recently diagnosed with the condition. It will also cover the role of exercise in preserving beta-cell function.
