Designed to provide diabetes secondary care HCPs with practical, real-world learning and engagement with the most recent developments from industry. This stimulating day featured a variety of workshops focussing on key, hot topics in the management of people using Hybrid Closed Loop systems for Type 1 diabetes. Each of the eight workshops were led by an expert in the field, walking attendees through case-study examples to improve approaches to optimising technology and improving support for patients.

Fine tuning the use of Hybrid Closed Loop
Packed with hands on learning and in-depth clinical scenarios, this training day was not to be missed. Participants left having worked through real-world examples and discussed the intricacies of getting the most of Hybrid Closed Loop systems. Each learner was able to choose four of the following case-based workshops to attend*:
1. Exercise and daily activity or 2. Children under 5 years
3. Alcohol management or 4. Pregnancy management
5. Dietary considerations or 6. Reducing the HCL inequality gap
7. Reducing high HbA1c or 8. Engaging YP during transition
